Across America: The Supercat on the Road

From Coast to Coast, From Concept to Reality

To launch a car like the Supercat, you don’t hide it away, you drive it. The journey across the United States was not about ticking locations off a map, but about placing the Supercat into the real world. Cities, landscapes and roads that would test it and introduce it to a global audience.

West Coast Arrival

The Supercat’s American story began in Los Angeles.

A city built on car culture, creativity and contradiction, LA was the natural first stop and the perfect place to reunite the car with one of its key collaborators. At Magnus Walker’s Downtown Lofthouse, the Supercat was unveiled to a room filled with designers, collectors and cultural tastemakers.

From there, the journey accelerated.

Vegas: Excess Meets Engineering

Straight from LA, the Supercat headed to Las Vegas.

Displayed inside the Wynn Hotel, the car stood in a setting defined by spectacle, but the Supercat needs no embellishment.

Beyond the display, the desert became a proving ground. Demonstration driving around the Las Vegas Formula 1 circuit offered a chance to stretch the car’s legs, while the surrounding roads introduced heat, surface changes and real-world variables.

Route 66 – Angeles Crest Highway (Desert to Mountain)

The drive back from Las Vegas to Los Angeles enabled the team to continue the Supercat’s development programme while driving through a vast cross section of environments and temperatures.

This stretch of road became the backdrop for refinement, testing and learning. It was here that the car transitioned from launch vehicle to evolving product.

During this phase, Top Gear’s Jethro Bovingdon joined the programme for what would become the Supercat’s first and only press dynamic drive.

Angeles Crest

North of Los Angeles lies Angeles Crest Highway, an alpine ribbon of tarmac cutting across mountain ranges, used by manufacturers worldwide to assess handling, balance and driver engagement.

LA Life

Between testing, the Supercat lived in Los Angeles. Photoshoots and urban drives, the car was seen, heard and experienced in its natural environment. From there, it was time to head east.

New York: The East Coast Introduction

Transported to New York City, the Supercat made its East Coast debut at Classic Car Club Manhattan, a private members’ space where serious cars meet serious enthusiasts.

Here, the Supercat was introduced to a different audience, driven through the city and experienced up close.

Miami and Beyond

From New York, the journey continued south. While in Florida, Miami hosted the Supercat across multiple events and displays, including MODA Miami, and then the Supercat drove North to Amelia Island, where it appeared by invitation among some of the world’s most significant cars.

Following Amelia Island, the Supercat entered a long-term real-world test programme across Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana, logging miles across varying road surfaces, climates and conditions.

More Than a Road Trip

A car doesn’t earn credibility through press releases or studio lights. It earns it through use – by being driven, tested, scrutinised and lived with.

Across America, the Supercat did exactly that.
